As part of the expanded season around Fort Process festival, Lost Property present a rare live and extended audiovisual performance from Phill Niblock.
PHILL NIBLOCK
Niblock’s pioneering work in abstract music and media has inspired generations of artists worlds away from his home in the New York experimental scene. Poised somewhere between psychoacoustic sound studies and avant garde composition, his influence has carried through his early tape based work into the digital collages of more recent material.
Niblock’s distinct use of layered microtones creates otherworldly stretches of beguiling music, blending atmospheres found among
celebrated minimalist and ambient composers.
TIM SHAW
Tim Shaw is an artist investigating the interactive relationships between technology and space. These explorations manifest in
refined installations, performances and site specific interventions, occasionally in collaboration with other renowned practitioners.
LOST PROPERTY DJS
Members of Lost Property will be playing music in the bar around the live performances.
This event has been made possible through funding from Arts Council England and generous support from Attenborough Centre for the Creative Arts.
