Infrasection

Infrasection began in March 2016, designed to offer a more intimate experience of the sounds and their visual counterparts found in other areas of Lost Property’s programming. Performing acts chosen for the night are able to present the finer characteristics of their craft to a smaller audience, exposing details of their practice often hidden. At Infrasection the qualities of the material – sculptural, investigative, heavily nuanced – will be emphasised alongside the directly sonic.

Though no event will necessarily be singular, each will be different. Rather uniquely, this is acknowledged by offering limited edition prints at each event, available to purchase at the night itself. Infrasection was initiated as a series to be held in Brighton’s much missed Cafe Noor. Since its closure it has been based mainly at pub turned arts space The Rose Hill.
